Andrea Althoff
Andrea is a mom with a passion for getting kids outside and connected with the natural world. She graduated from the University of Georgia/Warnell School of Forestry with both bachelors and masters degrees in Water Resource Management. Andrea worked for the US Geological Survey as a hydrologist and as a watershed scientist in environmental consulting for 12 years. She is also a certified middle grades science teacher in the state of FL. Before becoming a stay at home and homeschooling mom with 2 sons, who are now 8 and 6, she taught 8th grade science at Umatilla Middle School. Andrea has a lifelong love of exploring and observing nature and hopes to spark that same joy in all children. Her interests include kayaking, gardening, food forests, wise traditions, camping, hiking, backpacking, wilderness survival, and wild foraging.
